Many great dogs come from shelters and adopting and rescuing from shelters help offer a new space for another homeless dog in need of a home. Join this group if you have rescued or adopted your dog from a shelter, or are in support of diminishing doggie over population.
So many homeless dogs end up in shelters, without a home, and if they aren't adopted within a certain period of time (some as short as five days), they are humanely euthanized.
About 100 dogs per day are put into shelters like the Humane Society's Animal shelter, which is a non profit shelter.
So consider adopting and rescuing your future dog from a shelter and encourage others to do as well!
